critic-thumb-500x373-53676Roger Ebert joined his long time frenemie Gene Siskel in the post credit world last week. So now is as good as time as any to look back on their careers.

 

Random Fact:

Mr. Ebert once dated Oprah Winfrey. While they didn’t hit off, Ebert did give her the advice of owning and syndicating her show rather than just signing up with a network to make the show for her. Winfrey followed through on that and wound up being the billionaire she is now because of it.

 

Reviews:

Now a day, if kids want to watch a movie about video games they got King of Kong and Wreck It Ralph (with a doubt, the best video game movie ever made).

But back in my day were stuck with The Wizard (although, I personally hand good memories of the film, as I once wrote about). I enjoy Ebert pointing out he once made it to level 3 of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:

Siskel & Ebert were famous for not agreeing. In fact, they hated each other. Here they argue about, off all things, Baby’s Day Out.
