On the heels of the sniper shooting spree that had terrorized the Washington DC area, FOX has announce plans for a new reality show called, "The Sniper Show." FOX is making a bet it'll make for good viewing and high ratings. Why? Well since the sniper attacks have begun, ratings have been twice as high as usual on FOX's news channel as well as CNN and MSNBC. "The two hottest things in TV these days are reality shows and the sniper," said FOX executive Rob Hartwell, "we put the two together and it's magic." How will the show work? The program will follow five random people in their daily lives. The people selected will have no idea that they're being filmed or part of the show. At the end of each episode viewers will be able to log onto the FOX website and "vote off" the person they like least. The person with the votes will then be shot. "If there's one thing I've found, It;'s America loves to watch TV and shoot each other, now can do both at the same time," Hartwell said. "That Elvis was on to something." The show will start mid-season, replacing Andy Richter Eats a Burrito. A celebrity edition is also planned, no word yet if Britney Spears will be a contestant. |
