MATRIX RELOADED: THERE IS NO ENDING

Alright, perhaps the title is kind of an over statement. The ending is, however, to be frank, dumb. The direction the story takes isn't that bad to say, but there's something very wrong with it. First, it kind of leaves you hanging, and does this with obvious reason, to make you come back to see the next installment in November. That I could live with, but the last scene has been, not on purpose I'm sure (I hope), to look like that of a bad sitcom or TV drama. This doesn't ruin the movie, but ends an otherwise great movie in an incredibly dumb way

With all that aside, I love this movie. The stories you've heard are true, there is some of the best action you'll ever see here, including perhaps two of the best scenes ever made. A fourteen minute car chase and, my personal favorite, Neo fighting a 100 clones puts that clone movie from last year to shame.

Clones isn't the only thing that's similar to last years year Star Wars catastrophe. Just like Anakin who had nightmares about his mother dying, Neo has nightmares about Trinity dying. But while we may have clones and nightmares, there is one major difference: Matrix didn't suck.

So what of the clones? It seems Neo at the end of the last movie freed Agent Smith when he jumped inside him. But instead of thanking Neo, he still wants to kill him, which is okay because it wouldn't be as much of a movie if he didn't. Agent Smith, quite oddly, was one of my favorite characters, which is good, because he's learned to copy himself. So instead of one Smith, we now have a hundred. This all leads to the best scene in the movie as Neo attempts kick every one of their asses.

As much as this movie has in action it also has in story. And perhaps confusion. There are a lot more developments in this movie on just what The Matrix is, it's purpose, and how it works. I was surprised to learn that many people didn't understand the first movie, which will only makes things worse in this one. Make sure you bring your notebook and pen for one of the last scenes as many secrets of The Matrix are revealed (perhaps they should of called one of these films Matrix Revealed, just had it be a two hour done in History Channel mode explaining everything).

This all just adds to the fun of the movie, which is exactly the best thing about it, it's fun. After you watch the movie you can go out and get the game, which features another hour of original footage. Then you have The Animatrix, a series of cartoons on a DVD, coming out next month to fill even more gaps left by the movies. Then finally in November Matrix Revolutions is released in theatres.

The best thing about this movie is you don't have to be a geek to enjoy the action, and you don't have to just be an action lover to like the technical reasoning behind it all. You'll enjoy the movie either way. If you like both then you're in luck and will love this film all that more.
